Additional Information
The weather has definitely been milder this week and here`s hoping that the worse of it is finally over. As soon as the milder temperatures become regular features I`m going to start work in the garden in preparation for the spring and summer months. Over the past few years we have accumulated quite a few garden products but I reckon there`s room for improvement this year. At the bottom of our garden is a sheltered spot and it`d be the ideal place to position an Arbour. On a sunny summer Sunday morning I could read the papers in peace whilst sat within the confines of the arbour. I`ve found the ideal product through a company that sells a fine line in garden products. They sell great looking gazebos, have amazing arches and supply a handsome collection of comfy hammocks. If I wanted swing chairs they could provide them with ease and barbecue products could be delivered to my door. Amongst the fine selection of garden products are play items for the children. As the weather continues to improve I might be giving the fine supplier of garden products a ring. Although last year was a washout I`m hoping that this summer will be a far different affair.
I can only try to imagine what it must be like trying to maintain a lawn in a stately home. When you visit such places and see the edges of the lawn looking nice and tidy you fail to realise just how much hard work goes into the process. I have a struggle just keeping up with the edges of my lawn never mind about tackling something that is far more sizeable. Gardeners can get a break from their lawn edging duties though, if they use a clever type of edging system. Smartedge has been around for a few years now and it`s started to make waves in the gardening industry. A number of councils and stately homes are putting this lawn edging system to good use and they are beginning to realise just what a wonderful product it is. It comes in large lengths, fits around the edges of the lawn and the A-frame design secures firmly to the grass. The lawn can then grow through the A-frame and all the gardener has to do is mow the lawn in the future. Gone will be the regular maintenance procedures when the lawn edging product is in place. All the garden will be left with is a great looking lawn whose edges look trim and tidy all the year round.
One of the few jobs that I hate to tackle in the garden during the spring and summer months is keeping the lawn looking tidy. Mowing the lawn isn`t too bad but when it comes to tidying up the edges it can be a real hassle. I`ve lost count of the hours I must have spent trimming the edges of the lawn with a lawn edger. You can understand my excitement then, when I came across a new type of lawn edging system. Called smartedge, it`s already being put to good use by gardeners all around the country. This clever system fixes around the edge of the lawn and the grass actually grows through the top of it. This means that all I`d have to do is mow the lawn in the future and the edges would take care of themselves. A number of councils and stately homes have already found that the smartedge system works wonderfully on their lawn areas. The great thing about this type of edging system is it comes in large continual lengths and this makes the installation process extremely easy. The domestic gardener can put the smartedge system to use on their lawn and they`ll save themselves from plenty of backache in the future.
For a lot of people their garden is a place where they like to relax, and enjoy being out doors after a hard day at work. This does not necessarily mean that they want to spend hours weeding and tidying up the lawn. If you are one of thee people who wants to enjoy their garden with out breaking their back, then why not take a look at one of the new innovations in the world of garden edging. Made of a tough yet flexible polypropylene, this garden edging strip system has a unique design that binds itself into the roots of the lawn as the grass grows, providing your lawn with a perfectly neat margin - no more crumbling edges and grass growing out into your borders! It is UV and frost proof, and it will not crack or fade, and will last for many years. The polycarbonate securing pins are biodegradable as once the grass has bound to the garden edging strips they are no longer needed. So if you want to spend more time sat on your lawn than edging your lawn, why not take a look at this new system.
